Eat, Pray, Love

                                         Eat, Pray, Love

I chose to write a book review about one of my favorite books, Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. This book is about a very difficult time in the author’s life when she decided that she had to leave her life behind and go experience things that would make her happy. So she decides to travel to Italy in order to experience delicious food, to India to learn how to meditate and to get in touch with spirituality, and then to Bali to experience love.

The reason why I love this book so much is because I love to travel and reading about all her experiences was a way for me to travel without leaving my home. I also admire her bravery and how she was able to leave her job, her family, and everything just to do something that made her happy. On the other hand, although it is a true story, I think it is unrealistic to think that every person who is going through a difficult time in their life can just leave everything behind and spend a year traveling the world. People have families, jobs, and responsibilities. You cannot only think about yourself.

In conclusion, I recommend this book to anyone who likes travel, adventure, and romance. In addition, it is a great book to read on vacation. It is very quick and easy to read; perfect for an airplane ride or to read by the pool or the beach.

  2. Although I haven't read the book, I really enjoyed the movie! The theme of search for happinness and meaning in life is eternal. This woman's spiritual journey reflects the inner desire of majority of people.
